Spanish pharmacies (farmacias) are identified by a large green cross. Jávea has more than 15 pharmacies spread across the old town, port and Arenal, with most staff speaking some English.
Standard hours are 09:30–14:00 and 17:00–20:30 weekdays, plus Saturday morning. One pharmacy is always open 24/7 on rotation – the schedule (farmacia de guardia) is posted on every pharmacy door.

The Arenal alone has six pharmacies along the main avenues. The old town has four around Plaça de l'Esglèsia. The port has three around the harbour.
