    Denia (Dénia) sits 15 km north of Jávea and makes a perfect half-day or full-day trip. It's a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy with one of the best food scenes in Valencia, a hilltop castle and a buzzing marina.

    Drive yourself (15 min along the CV-735) or take the local bus from Jávea port. Parking is easy near the marina.
