Playgrounds in Jávea

Jávea has more than a dozen free public playgrounds spread across the Arenal, port and old town. Most are well maintained, fenced and equipped for ages 2–10.

Equipment is concentrated on the Arenal, but the quieter port and old-town playgrounds offer shade – important from May to September.

• Arenal Beach playground – on the sand, busy, no shade
• Parc Montaner – large, shaded, picnic tables
• Port playground – next to the marina, sea views
• Plaça de la Constitució (old town) – small, shaded

All are free and open dawn to dusk. None have toilets directly on site – use nearby cafés or beach toilets.

From June to September, head to Parc Montaner or the old-town playgrounds. The Arenal playground has no shade and equipment gets very hot midday.

Most playgrounds include a dedicated toddler area with low swings and small slides. The Arenal playground is the largest and has the most variety for under-fives.
