Sport climbing dominates, with routes from easy 5a to overhanging 9a, plus excellent deep-water soloing along the sea cliffs. Several local schools and certified guides offer introductory courses, multi-pitch instruction and DWS sessions. ## Top crags near Jávea - Sella – iconic Costa Blanca crag (50 min) - Echo Valley – sunny winter classics (40 min) - Toix sea cliffs – DWS heaven (30 min) - Sierra de Bernia – mountain multi-pitch (40 min) ## Deep-water soloing The sea cliffs at Cova Tallada and Cabo de la Nau offer some of Europe's best DWS – rock straight into the sea, no rope required (but conditions matter). ## Guided climbing Local guides offer half-day intro sessions, multi-pitch days and DWS adventures. Equipment included. From €60–€90 per person. ## When to climb October to April for sport routes – sunny, cool and dry. DWS best in summer when water is warm.
