From hour-long flat walks to the demanding Montgó summit, there is a route for every fitness level. The best hiking months are October to May, when temperatures are pleasant. In high summer, set out at dawn or stick to the shaded coastal paths. ## Top hiking routes - Montgó summit (4–5h, hard) - Cap de Sant Antoni clifftop (1–2h, easy) - Cova Tallada sea cave (3h round, moderate) - Granadella to Ambolo cliffs (2h, moderate) - Les Planes – Jesus Pobre (2.5h, easy) ## Difficulty and what to bring Carry at least 1.5 litres of water per person, sun protection, sturdy shoes, a map (don't rely on phone signal). Tell someone your route. ## When to hike October to May is the sweet spot – cool, clear and the wildflowers in March/April are unforgettable. Avoid midday hikes in July and August. ## Guided hikes Local guides organise group hikes, sunrise walks and full-day mountain trips.
