The fine grey pebbles, the protected harbour and the row of seafood restaurants give the beach a different feel from the busier sandy Arenal – more local, more traditional, more Spanish. Calm waters and easy parking nearby make La Grava a favourite for residents and visitors who prefer a relaxed beach day combined with a long lunch at one of the marina restaurants. ## Location and atmosphere The beach stretches around 400 metres along the port. Fishing boats unload their catch each morning and you'll find auction-fresh fish on the menus of nearby restaurants by lunchtime. ## Facilities and access La Grava has good facilities including showers, toilets, accessible ramps and lifeguards in season.
