Jávea's museums are small, friendly and packed with character. Together they tell the story of a town shaped by the sea – from prehistoric finds in the Montgó caves to the fishing, raisin and tourism industries that built the modern Costa Blanca.

Most are free or low-cost and easy to combine with a walk through the old town.

## Museo Soler Blasco

The town's archaeological and ethnographic museum, housed in a 17th-century mansion in the old town. Iberian and Roman artefacts, raisin trade history and local folk art.

## Centro de Arte Contemporáneo (CAC)

Modern art exhibitions in a beautifully restored old building – rotating shows by Spanish and international artists.

## Casa-Museo Pepe Català

A traditional house preserved as a museum – everyday domestic life in Jávea over the past 150 years.

## Practical info

Most museums are closed on Monday and on Sunday afternoons. Free entry or a small fee under €3 in most cases.
