The big weekly market in the old town has run for centuries and locals still do their weekly shop there – fresh fruit and vegetables, olives, cheeses, jamón and clothing stalls. There is also a small artisan/craft market in summer and a year-round daily food market at the Mercado Municipal. ## Thursday morning market Held every Thursday morning around the Plaza de la Constitución and Avenida del Plà – the biggest market in town. Arrive before 11:00 for the best produce. ## Mercado Municipal The covered indoor market hall in the old town – open every morning (closed Sunday) for fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables. The most authentic place to shop. ## Artisan market A small summer evening market on the Arenal promenade – local crafts, jewellery and gifts.
