Divers come for the cliff drop-offs, sea caves, abundant fish and exceptional water clarity – often 20 metres of visibility. Several PADI dive schools operate from the port, offering everything from introductory dives to technical courses and dive trips to nearby Tabarca. ## Top dive sites Highlights include the Cap de Sant Antoni reserve, the underwater caves at Cova Tallada, the deep wall at Llebeig, and the rich reefs around Granadella. ## Marine life Groupers, moray eels, octopus, sea bream, scorpionfish, sunfish, rays and the occasional barracuda. Posidonia seagrass meadows are a UNESCO-protected habitat. ## Courses and trips Introductory dives (no certification) from €60. PADI Open Water courses from €380. Two-tank boat dives from €70 for certified divers. ## Best time to dive Best conditions May to October. Water temperature 16°C in March, 26°C in August.
