THE FIRST QUESTION
We can talk endlessly about the quality, value and uniqueness of Villes del Vent, but still the first question on everybody's lips will be "Can I trust them?".

It is one question, but it has a different emphasis for different people, inspired in some cases by media comments and perhaps by the experience of other people you know:

Please click on the questions below, and we will try to give you concise answers. However, as you read through this web site, we hope that not only will you be impressed at the quality of design, construction and value for money that Villes del Vent offers, but these questions will also be fully satisfied.

Better still, come and see us in Jávea, where we will be delighted to answer your questions.

Could it ever be subject to the 'land-grab' law?
Many people thinking of purchasing property in Spain are worried about the implications of the so-called 'Land-Grab' law (L.R.A.U.) which has resulted in some people losing part or all of their property.

Some popular parts of Spain are at risk from the possibility of 'Land Grab', but it is important to put this into perspective. Most of the people who have been affected by this law bought their properties many years ago and may not have taken good legal advice, resulting in their house being built on land not classified for development.

The law, which is being vociferously contested in the European Parliament, was intended to reclassify “Rustic” land, much of it abandoned, as "Urban" land, enabling it for development. If some unfortunate owner has a property in the re-classified area, the developers have the right to compulsorily purchase the property, or at least areas of garden. Some developers also then demand payment towards the cost of the new infrastructure - internal roads, street lighting, etc.

How big is the risk to you? If you buy a property on the Costa Blanca on an urbanization with legal licences, such as Villes del Vent, you will be safe. However, if you are considering buying a rural property, it is extremely important that you take legal advice and ensure that the relevant searches are rigorously carried out at the local Town Hall.
