Is it legal?
Villes del Vent is a fully legal development, approved by the town hall, which has also given the development a commendation for its environmental planning. The land classification is fully urban, and not subject to reclassification. It has full mains drainage, all roads have been adopted by the town hall as urban highways, gas is piped to all homes, internet and telephone cables are connected to all houses and there are no annual maintenance or residents' fees.

Developments (urbanizaciónes) normally have two styles of licence - the general building licence for the urbanización covering infrastructure and utility supply, and then separate licences for each dwelling which are applied for as individual plans are approved for each phase.

At Villes del Vent, the entire development has a full building licence, and all roads and infrastructure have been completed, with all street lights, road signs, pedestrian crossings, surface and household drainage, utilities supply and communications in place.

As each phase is agreed at plan level, detailed plans are then submitted to the town planning department, and licences are granted applicable to each dwelling. The purpose is to ensure that the engineering details are correct, and that the town hall engineers can inspect the buildings as they progress to ensure they are built to the licenced plan.
