How we use rainwater
Throughout the urbanisation, we collect the rainwater. It is then piped to stilling chambers that slow its speed through drainage ditches before we use it to irrigate the soil.
How we treat sewage water
We don't use septic tanks; instead we have constructed a 3km long pipework system under local highways, that carries the sewage underground to Jávea's water treatment plant. Along the way, we have also provided for connections for hundreds of other dwellings to the system.
And how we optimise the use of running water
We have expanded the AMJASA network (Jávea's water supply company) to pipe desalinated water to Villes del Vent. We also accumulate water in two 1,000m3 capacity deposit tanks that assures an independent supply for up to two days for the entire site. |
